Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates Welcomes Dr. Ralph Iannuzzi as Otolaryngology Chief

Boston, MA (May 8, 2008) - Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates, a multi-specialty physician group with practice sites throughout eastern Massachusetts, proudly welcomes Dr. Ralph Iannuzzi as Chief of Otolaryngology. Dr. Iannuzzi, a former partner at Associates in Otolaryngology in Worcester, Mass., brings over 20 years of leadership experience to his new position with Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates.

“Dr. Iannuzzi comes to Harvard Vanguard with years of experience garnered from a strong ear, nose, and throat practice in Worcester,” says Director of Surgical Specialties, Dr. Michael Pinnolis. “We are excited to welcome Dr. Iannuzzi to our team and eager to work with him.”

In his former position with Associates in Otolaryngology, Dr. Iannuzzi led the rapid expansion of the solo practice, expanded surgical service offerings and made available practice-based clinical trials. Iannuzzi has held numerous leadership positions, including Vice President of the board of directors for the Physician Hospital Organization of Memorial Hospital in Worcester, Mass., and Vice President, contract committee, UMass Memorial Healthcare. Iannuzzi has also served on the board of directors for the Massachusetts Society of Otolaryngology, acting as their liaison with the Board of Governors of the American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery. Ianuzzi also serves on the Board of Directors of the Independent Physician Association (IPA) of the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary.

Iannuzzi earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from Brandeis University and a Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Massachusetts Medical School, Worcester. He completed his internship and residency at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center and was a resident/fellow at Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary. He is an assistant professor at University of Massachusetts Medical School and an instructor at Harvard Medical School.
