Fallon Community Health Plan Signs Atrius Health

Worcester, MA - Atrius Health, the largest independent physician alliance in Massachusetts, has signed an agreement with Fallon Community Health Plan (FCHP), marking the latest addition to a growing network of health care providers now available to FCHP members. Under the terms of the agreement, members of FCHP Select Care, including the HMO and POS plans, Fallon Preferred Care (PPO), and FCHP’s Major Medical indemnity plan, will have access to more than 700 physicians and 1,000 other health care providers associated with the five community-based physician groups that comprise Atrius Health.

Two of Atrius Health’s medical groups, Southboro Medical Group and South Shore Medical Center, were previously part of the FCHP Select Care network. Southboro Medical Group is also part of the network for Fallon Community Health Plan’s other HMO plan, Direct Care. Under this new contract, which is effective January 1, 2008, FCHP Select Care members also will be able to receive services from providers at Atrius Health’s three other physician groups – Dedham Medical Associates, Granite Medical and Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates (pending credentialing of new providers).
